What Happens If You Never ‘Blow’?

Living life on the big stage is the dream of everyone in the entertainment industry; Whether you're an aspiring actor or artist; You want to live for stardom; You want to attain celebrity status and have fans that scream your name and clamour to get a signed autograph when you walk or drive past them—All of these and more are the perks of the celebrity lifestyle.
Each entertainment sector has its peculiarities but the result is always the same: stardom. Getting to that point in your career where you become famous is not a day's job, it takes a lot of consistency, hard work, and above all, God's grace. And sometimes, the years invested into one's craft don't always equate to the expected result. I mean, you might have been singing for about 5 years or more and still not garnered the kind of reception you would expect, but then someone drops a song and boom! It's everywhere. People, now beginning to talk about how the new guy is the next big thing. Yes, it happens.
A lot of factors actually come into play and consideration. Are you under the right music label? Do you have your audience? What type of music do you make? What are your brand strategies? And on and on it goes. We live in a world overtaken by social media, so how well do you make use of the platforms? You know, all these questions need to be answered, and well.
Let's rub minds together for a bit. What if the fact you haven't blown as an artist is God's way of preserving you from evil? You see, this world is evil regardless of the niceties obvious to the eyes. A lot of child prodigies and famous artists blew at the first glimpse of opportunity they got and, ask yourself this question: where are they today? Many have died from living recklessly, some are in prison, while some are bankrupt due to living extravagant lifestyles. Believe me, when I say, God's time is indeed the best.
The devil has imprisoned so many people; people who were naturally gifted by God but were impatient and couldn't wait, hence, sold their souls in exchange for the glitz and glamour. And now, they're damned for life, except they find their way back to God, repent and ask for forgiveness so their souls can be saved.
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change.
James 1:17 ESV
The gifts given to us by God are to bless Him alone. So, if you're wondering why you haven't 'blown' already, it could be that you're using your gift of singing for the wrong purpose and audience.
So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.
1 Corinthians 10:31 ESV
As the verse above illustrates, whatever we do has to be to the glory of God; Be it singing, painting, acting, etc. It has to be to his glory. So don't feel bad because according to the world's standard: you haven't made a name for yourself. Rather be content with the blessing and touching the lives of the few around you using your gift and God will reward your good deeds.
