Walks, Thoughts, And Tales of God's Love.

I love them, and I love to take them.

On one hand, taking a walk affords me a bit of time to talk to God when things are a bit dark, dreary, and rough; or when I'm wrestling with some things He hints at me...or when I pretty much don't know what to do or how to do it.

On the other hand, however, it also affords me moments to be in solitude, yet watch humanity unfold. Actions as little as the expressions on people's faces as they walk, a labourer is getting something done, or a roadside trader trying to make a sale, teeny tiny moments where you can see the thread connecting every human being.

I visualize potential meetups with some of them, and sometimes I actually get to walk up to some of them and strike up a conversation. Sometimes I preach the hope of the Gospel of Jesus, sometimes I don't. Sometimes I don't have really pleasant experiences, sometimes a bit of cowardice and a display of indecision gets in the way; but in all, I get to see the intricate threads that connect each human life together.

At such times, I almost feel like I'm watching the cogs in the wheel of something transcendent, the ebb and flow of human life, the reminder that everyone has a story, is a potential doorway to another world a bit different from mine, and it dawns on me in amazement that God intricately knows them all. He really does, and the manifestation of the gift of words of knowledge is at the very least a reminder of that.

But above all (yes, I'm starting this sentence with a 'but'), it has birthed in me various beautiful thoughts. For example, what would life look like if everyone really knew and walked in all that God has for them?  What would happen?

So the next time you step out of your house, whether to buy something from the shop across the street, or on a long trip; know that everyone you meet, everybody you relate with, is a potential door, a doorway into a whole another world - full of stories and connections, losses and attainments, struggles and achievements. So make sure to be kind, be cheerful, and most of all...

Know God, really. The world is dying to know the Face and Light of He who is Truly Love. Know God - really; for you never know who might be a beneficiary of your intimacy with Him.

So take a break, relax, and observe the world - and people, around you. And while you do so, talk to people about Jesus and His Love. Predispose your heart to the manifestations and expressions of His love. He's real, He loves, He lives, and He speaks. And guess the best part? He knows us all, intricately.

And that is the end of a thought on walks.

Spread the Beats of Love.

Yours In the World of Words,

"O Lord, You have searched me and known me. You know my sitting down and my rising up, You understand my thought afar off. You comprehend my path and my lying down, and are acquainted with all my ways. For there is not a word on my tongue, But behold, O Lord, You know it altogether. You have hedged me behind and before, And laid Your hand upon me."

David, Psalms 139
